Stalemate: Bridge at Reya Gunde Bihar, Part 2

Two hours later, 2000 hrs, repairs were affected on one of the two disabled tanks and one of the BMPs.  The Chernarusian command group has left the area and the enemy has only lost four BTRs.  The Chernarusian commander still hasn't found the enemy tanks.

This time, the enemy decides to make a stab at taking the bridge.  The actual objective is the far verge of the bridge.  If either side takes that objective, that side controls the bridge.  As soon as the enemy T-55/122s appear, the shooting begins.

The player's command BTR infantry group, about 150 meters south of the southern verge of the bridge.

Enemy tanks begin to shell infantry in the village.  Two other BTR rifle squads occupy the village in addition to the player's group, along with ammunition and medical vehicles.

Enemy tank gunfire attracts the attention of the Chernarusian BMP sitting on the ridge overlooking the river.

One of the Chernarusian T-80BVs sitting alongside the BMP joins in.  To the left, two enemy BTRs get lit up by antitank gunfire.  To the right, an enemy T-55/122 is smoked by tank gunfire.

Two more enemy T-55/122s set afire by Chernarusian antitank gunfire.

Several enemy infantry attempt to dash across open ground to make the bridge. The time is 2005 hrs.  The tank part of the battle is over, save for the surviving enemy T-55/122s, which are nowhere to be found.

Ten minutes later the Chernarusian commander attempts to sneak across the bridge to get a better look, and sees the enemy T-55/122s, all fat and happy.

One of the T-80BV commanders tries to get eyes on the targets by moving closer, but is met with tank gunfire.  The driver shifts into reverse to attempt to escape the gunfire.  Meanwhile the gunner smokes another T-55 before being pulled out of line of sight.

It is now 2025.  Chernarusian T-80BVs refuse to get any closer, while Chernarusian infantry on the south side of the bridge refuse to cross.  The other two enemy tanks are still there, however. And a lot of dead enemy infantry.

Stalemate.
