From: Chernarus Coastal Operations Group
Subject: Weekly Summary of Combat Operations,  from Jan. 10th to  Jan. 16th, 2020, Inclusive

Message begins:

The tempo of combat operations have decreased in the last week.

Chernarus Defense Forces and Naval Forces have engaged in four separate operations against rebel forces in four regions.

1) An element from 2nd Bn, Chernarus 10th Separate Tank Brigade was sent to northern Hellanmaa Friday morning to recover three intelligence agents being held captive by rebel forces.  The task force was unable to find the agents, and was forced to retreat when the commander was killed. It was later discovered that the agents were never there.

2) Saturday morning, a battlegroup from 3rd Bn Chernarus 13th Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade was sent to Wallbeck in east Werferlingen to clear the town of rebel forces which recently had taken over.  The battle group encountered rebel armor north of Schwanefeld. One enemy BTR-80A has slipped by a cordon setup north of town and destroyed a repair vehicle and a T-72 tank. A relieving tank from Bartleslebel, along with a reinforcing motorized rifle platoon defeated the APC.  The operation to retake Wallbeck was abandoned when the battlegroup commander was killed.

3) Sunday morning, a private special forces group was sent to a location in northern Altis to locate and eliminate rebel commander Ivan Plantanov, and his assistant Danijela Ristic. The mission was a failure when the commander was killed.

4) Sunday evening a task group from 1st Bn Chernarus 17th Separate Light Rifle Brigade was sent to Khuzhadon in Beketov to oversee an evacuation of civilians. A number of complications arose during the operation including expending a large amount of allocated high explosive artillery ammunition, used to destroy rebel patrols along with Treshka River.  A rebel patrol also discovered the trucks to be used in evacuating the civilians and fired on them. Many of the civilians abandoned the truck. The site commander arrived and held the position until the trucks left. Losses were very heavy with 4th, 5th and 6th squads being nearly wiped out.
