Message begins:
The tempo of combat operations continued at a moderate pace.
Chernarus Defense Forces, Air Forces and Naval Forces have engaged in five separate operations against rebel forces in five regions.
1) A task force formed from 4th Bn, Chernarus 10th Separate Tank Brigade, moved to Nateln in Rosche to intercept a rebel armor force, and to prevent it from moving further south.
The mission was successful but the costs were high: two Chernarus Air Force SU-25 ground interdiction fighters were lost. 2nd Squad lost their BTR and three riflemen, while 3rd squad lost two.
Brigade recon staff said that the rebels will make another attempt to move south.
2) Saturday afternoon, 1st Bn, Chernarus 17th Separate Light Rifle Brigade was assigned the task of overseeing the evacuation of a small number of civilians from Shagrenovo in Beketov.
Many of those civilians, half of them female had been under threat by insurgent forces to be captured or killed, so the brigade commander decided to assign a small task force to protect Shagrenovo as civilians gathered to be taken to safety.
Some smaller sub operations were conducted, one of them being hunting and eliminating an enemy foot patrol which threatened the evacuation plans. A friendly foot patrol was almost destroyed, even with artillery fire support. The enemy patrol was found and destroyed.
The second smaller operation included clearing the airfield south of Shagrenovo of enemy forces who form the basis of patrols in the west Treshka River area.
Losses were high in defending the evacuation with command squad being wiped out, 2nd squad losing four and third squad losing two.
No heavy vehicles were lost in the evacuation.
The civilians arrived safely.
3) On Sunday, Chernarus naval pilots launched two air strikes against enemy targets. The first was a nocturnal sortie against an enemy freighter and three escort ships anchored off the eastern coast of Chernarus, moving supplies to rebel troops. The sorties destroyed the ships.
The pilots returned to their base at Balota safely.
In the second mission, another nocturnal airstrike was launched on reports that rebels were amassing troops near Khelm.
Bomb damage assessments reported the airstrike did considerable damage to rebel troops concentrations in the area, damage which included two AGS technicals.
Both pilots returned to their base at Balota safely.
4) On Wednesday, a task force from 2nd Bn Chernarus 2nd Naval Infantry Brigade attacked Dorida in Altis with the task of eliminating a criminal command group headed by Ruslan Kravchuk.
In the initial landing the force encountered and destroyed a beach patrol , then proceeded inland, and cleared a built up area of enemy troops.
In Dorida, command squad located a destroyed the command group, seized documents, and destroyed enemy supply trucks.
Losses were heavy: Command squad lost two, 2nd squad lost three while 3rd squad lost nine. 2nd squad was folded into 3rd squad for the last stages of the attack.
All friendly ground forces withdrew from Dorida safely.
Two Greek F-4 Phantoms participated in the attack, but both were shot down. All air crews were killed.
5) Also on Wednesday, a task force from 2nd Bn Chernarus 33rd Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade was ordered to Hirschhoff in Cham to eliminate a criminal command group.
The mission was a success. Losses were moderate with 2nd and 3rd squads losing one rifleman. During the retreat, Chernarus tank engaged rebel armor. One friendly T-72 tank was damaged and abandoned after a tank gun fight with a T-55. Enemy losses were indeterminate.
Documents seized indicated that the rebel moves into Hirschoff may have been a outlier, that rebel commanders do not expect to gain ground in Cham.
